ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Sandy Lane West

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 2 June 2025

Coming into force: 9 June 2025

This Order is being introduced because of road surface dressing work which is anticipated to be completed 20 June 2025. Closure will only be for brief times during the day and off peak. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of Sandy Lane West between Blackbird Leys Road and the Bypass.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via Southern by-pass - Rose Hill - Henley Ave - Between Towns Road - Barns Road - Blackbird Leys Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15441/AC)

Oxford, Godstow Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 2 June 2025

Coming into force: 9 June 2025

This Order is being introduced because of surface dressing works which are anticipated to be completed 20 June 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Godstow Road between Jacobs Inn and the A34 Flyover. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Godstow Road, A34, Woodstock Road, Godstow Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15442/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 2 June 2025

Coming into force: 9 June 2025

This Order is being introduced because of surface dressing works which are anticipated to be completed 20 June 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Underhill Circus. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Bayswater Road, North Way, Barton Village Road, Fettiplace Road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15440/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 2 June 2025

Coming into force: 9 June 2025

This Order is being introduced because of surface dressing works which are anticipated to be completed 20 June 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of Stowford Road between Underhill Circus and Bayswater Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Bayswater Road, North Way, Barton Village Road, Fettiplace Road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15435/AC)

Oxford, Balfour Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 2 June 2025

Coming into force: 9 June 2025

This Order is being introduced because of road surface dressing works which are anticipated to be completed 20 June 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of Balfour Road between Blackbird Leys Road to Cuddesdon Way. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Blackbird Leys Road, Cuddesdon Way and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15434/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Headington, Footpath 74 - 84 Leiden Road

Date of Order: 12 May 2025

Coming into force: 19 May 2025

This Order is being introduced because of electrical maintenance on behalf of SSEN which is anticipated to be completed 4 June 2025.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath in front of Nos. 74-84 Leiden Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed along the Leiden Road, Atkyns Road and Wood Farm Road. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15330/AC)
