Manchester - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143403936: The City of Manchester (Scotland, Cheetham Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Scotland. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Structural Examination of bridge. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 26th May 2025 to 27th May 2025 between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00.
The order shall come into operation on 26th May 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 16th May 2025.
ORDER NO. MCC143434781: The City of Manchester (Tib Street & Back Piccadilly, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & Suspension of OneWay Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Tib Street from Church Street to Back Piccadilly & on Back Piccadilly from Tib Street to Oldham Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dale Street, Oldham Street, Back Piccadilly. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 29th May 2025 to 4th June 2025 between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00. The order shall come into operation on 29th May 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
