ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

VICARAGE LANE, ROYSTON

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order has been made to close Vicarage Lane from Church Street to St Johns House, from 23 May 2025 for approximately one week.

Reason: install new gas service.

PINFOLD HILL LANE, SILKSTONE COMMON

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

An order has been made to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Pinfold Hill Lane, from Coates Lane to Hopping Lane, from 19 May 2025 for approximately three days.

Reason: works to telecoms service.

Reason: carriageway resurfacing works.

An order has been made to close the full length of Blacker Green Lane and Horn Croft, from 20 May 2025 for approximately 28 days, for one day only on two separate days sometime during this period.

Reason: surface dressing and lining works.

An order has been made to close Furlong Road from Lowfield Lane to Manor Lane, from 19th May 2025 for approximately 5 days.

An alternative route is available via: Doncaster Road, Ludwell Hill, Melton Mill Lane, Pastures Road, Doncaster Road, Adwick Road, Harlington Road.

An order has been made to close Underhill from outside No.10 to No.18, from 19th May 2025 for approximately 5 days.

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

An order has been made to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Bark House Lane from Lane Head Road to entrance to Spring Cottage and Lane Head Road from South Lane to outside Greenacres, from 19 May 2025 for approximately three days.

Reason: to safely enable telecoms work.

The roads will be closed for one day only for up to two separate days sometime during this period.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

An order has been made to Introduce the below restrictions from 19 May 2025 for approximately two weeks.

Roper Lane: Closed from Thurgoland Bank to Rag Lane. An alternative route is available via Rag Lane.

Roper House Lane: Closed from Thurgoland Bank to Roper House. An alternative route is available via Roper House Lane/Old Mill Lane/Cote Lane.

Thurgoland Bank: A temporary 40mph speed restriction from Halifax Road to Sheffield Road.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order will be made to close Oakwell Lane, Barnsley between Pontefract Road and Doncaster Road, from 27 May for approximately four days. The road will be reopened each evening when works are not taking place.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing.

An alternative route is available via: Pontefract Road, Harborough Hill Road, Alhambra Roundabout, Sheffield Road, Taylor Row, Doncaster Road.
