TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLE TRAFFIC, ONE-WAY TRAFFIC,

CLEARWAY & PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING

(VARIOUS ROADS, WALSALL) ORDER NO. 2 MAY 2025

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of carriageway specified in Schedule 1 OTHER THAN in the direction specified in Schedule 2.

SCHEDULE 1
Bescot Crescent, Walsall that is situated at its junction with Milton Street to its junction with A4148 Broadway West. (08:00 on Tuesday 27 May 2025 to 17:30 on Wednesday 28 May 2025)

Reason for Order: Rectify a defect
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas

SCHEDULE 2
Northerly.

And, prevent any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of:

* TURNBERRY ROAD, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Burslem Close to its junction with Formby Way. (08:00 – 17:00) (Thursday 29 May 2025)

Reason for Order: Frame and cover repair.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent.

* WILKES AVENUE, BENTLEY that is situated at its junction with Churchill Road. (Monday 26 May 2025 to Sunday 01 June 2025)

Reason for Order: Gas main renewal.
Works on behalf of: Cadent

And, prevent any vehicle from proceeding or stopping in the lengths of:

* CHURCH STREET, CLAYHANGER that is situated from its junction with Bridge Street for its entire length. (08:00 – 16:00) (Tuesday 27 May 2025 to Thursday 29 May 2025).

* HIGH STREET, CLAYHANGER that is situated from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Church Street. (09:00 – 16:00) (Friday 30 May 2025 and Monday 2 June 2025).

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing

And, prevent any vehicles from waiting or loading on that length of carriageway and adjacent footway that is situated on:

* MARSH STREET, WALSALL south eastern side from a point approximately 25 metres southwest of its junction with Little Station Street, northeastwards for 9 metres.
MARSH STREET, WALSALL southeastern side from its junction with Navigation Street northeastwards for 24 metres.
(Monday 26 May 2025 to Tuesday 30 September 2025)

Reason for Order: To facilitate crane movements.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council.

This ORDER will come into operation on Monday 26 May 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
