TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC

NOTICES OF INTENTION

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises
having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for
cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.

It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 26th May 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the
direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

1. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A442 Danesford Date & Duration: 30th May 2025 for 3 days and 17th June 2025 for 2 days between 09:30 to 16:00 (weekdays) and 06:00 to 18:00 (weekends)
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works
Alternative Route : A458, A449, A456, A442


2, Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Marton
Date & Duration: 1st June 2025 between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Remedial
Alternative Route : B5067, A528, B4397


3. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from Parking, Waiting and loading between 5 and 10 Castle Gates, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 11 days
Purpose: Temporary Parking Restriction - National Grid, cable reinforcement scheme.
Alternative Route : Not applicable


4. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Green Lane, Prees
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Install pole.
Alternative Route : Moreton Street, The Pinfold, Lacon Street, Preeswood, Unnamed road North West, Green Lane


5. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Hillside, Ditton Priors
Date & Duration: 26th May 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Short Comm Pipe Repair
Alternative Route : Bent Lane, South Road, Chapel Lane, Hall Road, Powkesmoor Lane, Hillside


6. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Kingsland Road, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 30th May 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, survey of inspection chamber.
Alternative Route : Kingsland Road, Longden Road, Roman Road, Kennedy Road


7. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Merrington Road, Bomere Heath
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 4 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, new water connection.
Alternative Route : Baschurch Road, B5067, Unnamed road North East through Old Woods, Merrington Road


8. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using New Street Lane, Calverhall
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace decayed pole
Alternative Route : Bletchley Road, A41, Unnamed road North East through Longford, Longslow, Unnamed road North West


9. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4214 Tenbury Road
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : A4117, A49, A456


10. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4555, Bridgnorth and Woodhill Road, Highley
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : B4555, B4363, B4555


11.Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Mill Farm to Norton Covert, Heywood, Bridgnorth
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 9 days between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme
Alternative Route : High Lane, Unnamed road North through Bromdon, B4364, Loughton lane


12. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road White House junction A442 to Hill Cottage junction, Marchamley
Date & Duration: 30th May 2025 for 7 days 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road West


13. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using School Road, Clun
Date & Duration: 29th May 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Bbox Install 25mm and Meter
Alternative Route : A488, B4368


14. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Station Road, Prees
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 1 day 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace decayed pole.
Alternative Route : Lighteach Road, B5476, Unnamed road South


15. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A442 Danesford to Bridgnorth
Date & Duration: 30th May 2025 for 3 days and 17th May 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 16:00 (weekdays) and 06:00 to 18:00 (weekdays)
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works
Alternative Route : A458, A449, A456, A442


16. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Street, Broseley
Date & Duration: 29th May 2025 for 3 days and 20th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 16:00 (weekdays) and 06:00 to 18:00 (weekends)
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works
Alternative Route : Bridgnorth Road, Avenue Road, Ironbridge Road


17. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A4117 and Hopton Wafers
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 2 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road CLosure-Openreach- Access to underground structure
Alternative Route : A4117, Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South West


18. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Eaton Constantine And Upper Longwood , Eaton Constantine
Date & Duration: 1st June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required for safety of engineers to work on overhead structure for pole testing.
Alternative Route : B4380, A4169, Wellington Road, B5061, Unnamed road South through Rushton and Upper Longwood


19. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Harley And Kenley
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, hydrant rebuild chamber.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road West towards Harley, A458, B4371, Unnamed road North West through Hughley, Unnamed road North West through Kenley


20. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Harnage And Shore Lane
Date & Duration: 29th May 2025 between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required for safe pole testing.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, A458, Unnamed road South through Cound, Unnamed road South East through Harnage

21. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Between Montford And Montford Bridge
Date & Duration: 26th May 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Freedom Fibre, road closure required to allow safe working area for operatives to carry out cabling works.
Alternative Route : Holyhead Road, A5, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed South


22. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Prescott and Bagginswood
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-To provide a safe working area for engineers to access to equipment to restore service
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road North West, Withies Bank, Oreton Road, Unnamed road North East through Oreton, Unnamed road East towards Prescott


23. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Ryton and Caynton Road
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - renew pole
Alternative Route : Caynton Road, Ryton Road


24. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Wilcott and Pentre
Date & Duration: 27th May 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, small sluice valve install.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed North West


25. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from Ightfield to Millenheath
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole
Alternative Route : Calverhall Road, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North East


26. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Spout, Coptiviney
Date & Duration: 28th May 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole Test
Alternative Route : Ellesmere Lane, Unnamed road South East through Hampton Wood, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road West towards Coptiviney



27. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Wistanswick
Date & Duration: 29th May 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Install
Alternative Route : Rosehill Road, A41


28. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wood Lane, Marchamley Wood
Date & Duration: 29th May 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole in verge
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South, Rookery Lane, Wood Lane


29. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using between 13 and The Gables, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury. At the same time the parking, loading and waiting will be suspended between 18 to opposite 24 and the one way order will also be suspended to
allow access.
Date & Duration: 1st June 2025 between 07:00 to 18:00
Purpose: Shrewsbury VE Day Celebration
Alternative Route : Not applicable


30. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A488 between Knighton & New invention
Date & Duration: 1st June 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Road closure is required for the safety of engineers to carryout pole testing works
Alternative Route : A488, B4368, B4385, B4367, A4113, A488


31. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Skyborry Green and New Invention
Date & Duration: 30th May 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - Renew poles
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, A488, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road South West
