Somerset Council - Parish of Timberscombe - Temporary Closure of Drapers Way

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Drapers Way - from the junction with Timberscombe To Cutcombe Hill to the junction with Steart Lane. A total distance of 1455 metres. This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre- surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization to be used on diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area. The Order becomes effective on 6th June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 9th June 2025 and last until 27th June 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 19 days.
