NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE
ACT 1981
MODIFIED DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
(BRIGHOUSE 21(PART) AND BRIGHOUSE 23(PART)) ORDER NO. 2, 2025
The above Order made on 12th day of May 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Upgrading to a bridleway the public right of way from its junction with public bridleway Brighouse 127, known as Wood Lane, at grid reference SE 1176 2570, point A on the Order map, and continuing in a generally northerly direction for 631 metres to its junction with public footpath Brighouse 21 at grid reference SE 1198 2623, point C on the Order plan near Throstle Nest Farm.
Upgrading to a bridleway the public right of way from its junction with public footpath Brighouse 21 at grid reference SE 1198 2623, point C on the Order plan, and continuing in a generally south westerly direction for 265 metres with public bridleway Brighouse 23, known as Wood Lane, at grid reference SE 1174 2614, point D.
A copy of the Order and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Halifax Central Library, Square Road, Halifax, HX1 1QG from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays, 10.00 am to 5.30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 10 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained at the same address.
Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing, quoting reference ROW/TB/3.15.1/05I, to the Public Rights of Way Officer, Strategic Infrastructure, Calderdale Council, Mulcture House, Mulcture Hall Road, Halifax, HX1 1SP not later than 26th June 2025, and the applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the
Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Borough Council of Calderdale, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
