Coulsdon Lane (C136) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 9 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Coulsdon Lane (C136) Chipstead as it extends from its junction with How Lane (D1080) to a point 180 metres east of this junction.
Alternative Route – How Lane, Hollymead Road and Coulsdon Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 May 2025 for 1 day.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
War Coppice Road (D1441) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 9 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of War Coppice Road (D1441) Caterham.
Alternative Route – Stanstead Road, B2030 (Church Hill), Harestone Valley Road and Weald Way, or this route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Various Roads in Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 9 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1), 14(5) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and 2. suspend The Borough of Reigate and Banstead (Albert Road, Horley) (Part) (OneWay Traffic) Order 1985” insofar as it relates to the alternative route.
This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 May 2025 for 1 month. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

(a) that length of Albert Road (D350) between its junction with Brighton Road (A23) and a point 10 metres south of this junction. Alternative route – High Street, Yattendon Road and Oakwood Road.
(b) that length of Southlands Avenue (D555) between its junction with Brighton Road (A23) and a point 10 metres north of this junction. Alternative route – Horley Row and A23 (Brighton Road and Balcombe Road) or A23 (Brighton Road) and Horley Road.
(c) that length of Hevers Avenue (D340) Horley between its junction with Brighton Road (A23) and a point 10 metres north of this junction. Alternative route – Horley Row, Lee Street, Vicarage Lane and A23 (Brighton Road), or this route in reverse.
Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2025
On 9 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood as it extends from its junction with Brighton Road (A217) to the eastern boundary of the property known as “Thirlmere House”; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 4) 2024” insofar as it relates to the length of road in (a).
Alternative Route – A217 (Brighton Road) and B2032 (Bonsor Drive), or B2032 (Bonsor Drive), A217 (Brighton Road), A240 (Reigate Road), B2221 (Tattenham Way) and A217 (Brighton Road).
This Order is required to enable Nick Kenward Construction Ltd to facilitate S278 footway works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 May 2025 for 1 month. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Mill Road (D300) South Holmwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Mill Road (D300) South Holmwood as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Stable Cottage” to its junction with (X8168) Mill Bottom. Alternative Route: Mill Road, (A24) Horsham Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, Chart Lane South, Blackbrook Road, and Mill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
The Street (C57) and (D326) Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) The Street (C57) Charlwood as extends from its junction with northernmost arm of (D326) The Street to its junction with (C57) Norwood Hill Road and (D323) Rectory Lane; (b) prohibit vehicles that are travelling on The Street (D326) Charlwood from turning left into (C57) The Street. Alternative Route: The Street, Horley Road, Charlwood Road, Reigate Road, (A217) Reigate Road, Horse Hill, Collendean Lane, and Norwood Hill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Tollgate Road (D2829) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Tollgate Road (D2829) Dorking as extends from its junction with (A2003) Flint Hill to its junction with (X14074) Martineau Drive; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Tollgate Road (D2829) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (A2003) Flint Hill, Goodwyns Road, Stubs Hill, and Tollgate Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of Barkemp Construction Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Mere Road (B2220) Tadworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mere Road (B2220) Tadworth as extends from its junction with (B290) New Road and (B2220) Tadworth Street to its junction with (X25162) Withybed Corner. Alternative Route: Deans Lane, (B2032) Dorking Road, and (B290) New Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Circet UK. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 May 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Gangers Hill (C72) Woldingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Gangers Hill (C72) Woldingham as extends from its junction with (C75) The Ridge to its junction with (C73) Tandridge Hill Lane. Alternative Route: Tandridge Hill Lane, (A25) Oxted Road, Barrow Green Road, Chalkpit Lane, and The Ridge, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telecom pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (D462) New Farthingdale to its junction with (D462) Beacon Hill. Alternative Route: Hollow Lane, High Street, Wilderwick Road, Sandhawes Hill, (A264) Holtye Road, Shepherds Grove, and Hollow Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement of telecom telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate mains water utility works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, at 6 locations, all between the hours of 9.30am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Schedule
(1) that length of Scotts Hill (C70) Outwood as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Westview” to its junction with (C70) Normans Road and (D369) Cogmans Lane. Alternative Route: Normans Road, Chapel Lane, Rookery Hill, Millers Lane, and Scotts Hill, or this route in reverse.
(2) the entire length of Normans Road (C70) Smallfield. Alternative Route: Chapel Lane, Rookery Hill, Millers Lane, and Scotts Hill, or this route in reverse.
(3) that length of Chapel Road (C67) Smallfield as extends from its junction with (C70) Normans Road to its junction with (D470) Careys Wood. Alternative Route: Chapel Road, Weatherhill Road, Hathersham Lane, Crossoak Lane, Picketts Lane, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Dayseys Hill, Rookery Hill, and Chapel Lane, or this route in reverse.
Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2025
On 14 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Schedule
1. the entire length of the western arm of D424 Holland Road, Hurst Green (that length of the service road fronting properties No.20 Holland Road southwards to No.144 Holland Road). Alternative Route – D424 Holland Road;
2. that length of A22 London Road, Felbridge which extends from its junction with The Glebe southwards to the boundary between the District of Tandridge and West Sussex County Council. Alternative Route – A22 London Road, A22 Woockcock Hill, B2028 West Park Road, B2028 Turners Hill Road (West Sussex), B2028 North Street (West Sussex), B2110 East Street (West Sussex), B2110 Turners Hill Road (West Sussex), B2110 Brooklands Way (West Sussex), A22 Station Road following one way system (West Sussex) and A22 London Road (West Sussex).
Various Roads in Warlingham Village Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- a) That length of B270 Westhall Road, Warlingham that extends from its junction with D1348 Leas Road, to its junction with B269 The Green. Alternative route: – B269 The Green, B269 Limpsfield Road, D1382 Tithepit Shaw Lane, B270 Hillbury Road and B270 Westhall Road. b) The entire length of B269 The Green, Warlingham.
Alternative routes: – (i) For closure at eastern end of the triangle between B269 Limpsfield Road and B269 The Green – South-eastbound along B269 Limpsfield Road to the roundabout junction with Chelsham Road, U-turn at the roundabout to return back towards The Green. (ii) For closure of the south and west sides of The Green – B269 Limpsfield Road, D1382 Tithepit Shaw Lane, B270 Hillbury Road and B270 Westhall Road. c) D1348 Redvers Road, Warlingham that extends from its junction with D1348 Leas Road for a distance of 75m westwards. Alternative route: – D1348 Leas Road and B270 Westhall Road. 2. Prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, and unloading at any time on both sides of the length of:-
(i) D1348 Chapel Road, Warlingham from the existing DYL at its junction with B269 Limpsfield Road, to the existing DYL at its junction with D1348 Leas Road.
(ii) D1348 Leas Road, Warlingham from the existing DYL at its junction with B270 Westhall Road, to the existing DYL at its junction with D1348 Chapel Road.
(iii) D1348 Redvers Road, Warlingham from the existing DYL at its junction with D1348 Leas Road, westwards for a distance of 75m. 3. Suspend the one-way system for traffic in that length of B269 Limpsfield Road, Warlingham that extends from the eastern arm to the north-western arm of B269 The Green.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway improvement works: – kerbing, surfacing, paving and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 6 months of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, waiting restrictions and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Works are anticipated to be carried out in sections, including some phases at night. The temporary closure in the west side of The Green between Westhall Road and the north-eastern arm of Limpsfield Road is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day when operational, and the temporary closure in D1348 Redvers Road, Warlingham, is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day throughout the duration of works. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. For Part 1.a) and b) access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. For Part 1.c) Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route described above.
The temporary waiting restrictions described in Part 2. above are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day. Exemptions for any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency, any vehicle being used in connection with the works vehicles, any vehicle when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control, and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer, will apply when the temporary waiting restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge which extends from its junction with Dwelly Lane (C85) to its junction with Grants Lane (D431).
Alternative Route – Honeypot Lane (C92), Crouch House Road, Lingfield Road, Haxted Road (C87), Dwelly Lane (C85) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Park View (D553) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park View (D553) Horley as extends from its south-western junction with (A23) Brighton Road to its junction with (X24049) Parkway. Alternative Route – A23 Brighton Road, and Park View or this same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 09 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Church Lane (D1421) Chaldon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Lane (D1421) Chaldon as extends from is junction with Doctors Lane (D1421) to its junction with Rook Lane (B2031); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Church Lane (D1421) Chaldon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” shall be suspended insofar as it relates to the length of road described in (a).
Alternative route – B2031 (Rook Lane and Chaldon Road), B2030 (Townend, Banstead Road and Coulsdon Road), B276 (Marlpit Lane), Downs Road, Ditches Lane, or this route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Openreach to facilitate cabling, splicing and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks during the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained.
High Road (C136) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) High Road (C136) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (C139) White Hill to its junction with (D1157) Markedge Lane and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council C136 High Road, Chipstead and Upper Gatton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (a) High Road, Blackhorse Lane, (A217) Brighton Road, Chipstead Lane, and White Hill; (b) White Hill, Chipstead Lane, (A217) Brighton Road, Babylon Lane, and High Road. This Order is required to facilitate tree cutting and replacement telecom pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
