Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures is for pole replacement works.

The said roads are expected to be closed each day between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs on the 19th May 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. 

Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed, on site, prior to the closure/ restrictions taking effect. 

This intended Order may permit the said closures and restrictions of the said roads in any order, or simultaneously, as required, and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 19th May 2025.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C222 Elmore Lane West, from outside the property known as ‘Whitestones’ to outside the property known as ‘The Elms’ for a distance of approximately 110 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 20th May 2025 until 16:00hrs on 21st May 2025 only or until the said works are completed.

Temporary Closure Of 490355 Sandford Street (College Ward) Cheltenham Borough 

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490355 Sandford Street Road from its junction with Bath Road to its junction with Mitre Street for a distance of approximately 90 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water installation works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 22nd May 2025 until 16:00hrs on 23rd May 2025 only or until completion of the said works.

The reason for the said closure is for pole testing works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 19th May 2025 only or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.

Temporary Closure C61 Road From Pool Hill To Junction With Pool Hill Road (Pauntley Parish) Forest Of Dean District 

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C61 Road from Pool Hill to the junction with Pool Hill Road from outside the property known as ‘The Herridges’ to outside the property known as ‘The Orchards’ for a distance of approximately 300 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for electric cabling works on behalf of National Grid.

The said road is expected to be closed from 19th May 2025 until 30th May 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council (30 Mph & 40mph Speed Limits) (A417
Gloucester Road) (Parish Of Hartpury) (Forest Of Dean District) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make the above-named order the effect of which will be:

1. To introduce a north-westerly extension to the existing 30mph speed limit on A417 Gloucester Road by revoking the existing 40mph speed limit and introducing a 30mph speed limit as detailed in Schedule 1 below; and

2. To reduce the extent of the existing 40mph speed limit on A417 Gloucester Road to align with the new proposed north-western extent of the 30mph speed limit as detailed in Schedule 2 below.
