Highmoor &Rotherfields Area and Stoke Row- 20mph Speed Limits Order
What is happening?
(HIGHMOOR AND ROTHERFIELDS AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that on 12 May 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 19 May introduces a 20mph speed limit in Rotherfield Peppard, replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Church Lane:
a. Northern junction – its junction with the B481 Peppard Hill,
b. Southern junction – its junction with the B481 Peppard Hill,
2. Colliers Lane – its junction with the B481 Peppard Hill,
3. Gallowstree Road – a point 290 metres southwest of Shiplake Botton,
4. Shiplake Botton – its junction with the B481 Gravel Hill/Peppard Road
5. Stoke Row Road:
a. Southern end – its junction with the B481 Gravel Hill
b. Northern end – its junction with Wyfold Lane,
6. Unnamed road between Colliers Lane & the B481 – its junction with the
B481 Peppard Hill,
7. Unnamed road between Gallowstree Road & Peppard Hill – a point
60 metres southwest of its junction with the B481 Peppard Hill,
8. Wyfold Lane – its junction with Chiltern Road.
30mph speed limits remain on parts of the B481 Nettlebed to Reading Road, Dog Lane, Stoke Row Road, the unnamed road between Gallowstree Road & Peppard Hill, and Wyfold Lane, with Officers having taken the current road environment into account.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Highmoor and Rotherfields Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2024 is revoked/replaced.

(STOKE ROW PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that on 12 May 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the
above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which
comes into force on 19 May introduces a 20mph speed limit in Stoke Row,
replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Busgrove Lane – a point 370 metres south of its junction with the
unnamed road running through Stoke Row
2. Kit Lane/Main Street – a point 270 metres southeast of its junction with
Uxmore Road
3. Stoke Row Road – a point 340 metres south of its junction with the
unnamed road running through Stoke Row
4. Unnamed road running through Stoke Row – a point 230 metres east of its
junction with the access to the Village Green
Existing 30 speed limits will remain on Dogmore End Lane, Kit Lane/Main
Street (leading north-westwards out of the village), and Uxmore Road, with
Officers having taken the current road environment into account.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Stoke Row Parish) Order
1999 is revoked/replaced.

comes into force on 19 May introduces a 20mph speed limit in Highmoor,
replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out
to the following points:
1. B481:
a. Northern end – a point 20 metres north of its junction with the access
to Highmoor Memorial Hall,
b. Southern end – a point 340 metres south of Holly Close.
2. Witheridge Hill:
a. Northern section – its junction with Newnhamhill Bottom,
b. Southern section – a point 25 metres north of Colmore Lane.
Part of the existing 30 speed limit remains on the B481 Nettlebed to Reading
Road leading northwards out of the village, with Officers having taken the
current road environment into account.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Highmoor and Rotherfields Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced.
