THE HAMPSHIRE (RUSHMOOR BOROUGH COUNCIL) (ALEXANDRA ROAD, FARNBOROUGH) DISABLED PARKING (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 29th April 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to vary The Rushmoor Borough Council (Parking for Disabled Persons in Aldershot and Farnborough) (Consolidation) (Dc0021) Order 2021 insofar as it relates to Schedule 1 of that order as described in Schedule I below:

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 10th May 2025.

(i) Farnborough Library, Pinehurst, Farnborough, GU14 7JZ (Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9:30am – 5:00 pm and Tuesday 9:30am - 1:30pm)

(ii) Rushmoor Borough Council, Council Offices, Farnborough Road, Farnborough, GU14 7JU (Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays 8.30 – 5.00)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

(iv) Copies of the order as made, plan and statement of reasons can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Universal Services, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2409/MJB

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 10th June 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
