(BROTHERTON ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 115) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to verge hardening & footway surfacing to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brotherton Road, Wakefield from Greenwood Road to Watson Crescent.

The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brotherton Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Watson Crescent, Woodhouse Road, Greenwood Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th May 2025 to 9th July 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KEEPER LANE, NOTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 117) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate to install telecoms duct to link into existing telecoms apparatus as part of the fibre to the home scheme to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Keeper Lane, Notton for approximately 850 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Keeper Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, George Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th May 2025 at 08.00 hours to 21st May 2025 at 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SLACK LANE, NEWMILLERDAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 118) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to repair & replace damaged telecom ducting to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Slack Lane, Newmillerdam from Barnsley Road to number 70. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Slack Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, road will be controlled by traffic marshalls and vehicular access will be controlled but maintained.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th May 2025 to 21st May 2025 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, clear all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BALNE LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 120) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for urgent tree removal works on the railway embankment being undertaken by Network Rail to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Balne Lane, Wakefield between Earnshaw Place and Cliff Park Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Balne Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: East to West – Burton Street, Bell Street, Bond Street, Wentworth Terrace, A61 Leeds Road, Rishworth Street, Bond Terrace, Cliff Parade, Back Lane, Westgate, Westgate End, Alverthorpe Road.
West to East – Alverthorpe Road, Westgate End, Westgate, Mulberry Way. 

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th May 2025 at 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HINCHCLIFFE AVENUE, OSSETT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER (NO 126) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas connection works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hinchcliffe Avenue, Ossett for approximately 11 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hinchcliffe Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hinchcliffe Avenue, Queens Drive & vice versa. 

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd June 2025 to 15th June 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(FOOTPATH 19, SITLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)
ORDER (NO 128) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for footpath resurfacing on New Road to be carried out on or near Footpath between 183 New Road and 76 Nell Gap Lane, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.

Alternative route for pedestrians: New Road, Nell Gap Lane & vice versa.

The order comes into operation on 2nd June 2025 to 24th June 2025. Closed Monday to Friday, 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours. Open at all other times.
