What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(THE KNOLL, MAULDEN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of The Knoll, Maulden.
This temporary closure is required to enable ducting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 6 June 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.

(BOUGHTON END, LIDLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Boughton End, Lidlington from approximately 270 metres north west of the junction with Ampthill Road for a further 100 metres in a north westerly direction.
This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 5 June 2025 between the hours of 9am and 5pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Boughton End Lane, High Street, A507 and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Lane, Millbrook outside 3 Pillinge Cottages.
This temporary closure is required to enable supply pipe repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 6 June 2025 between the hours of 8am and 5pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, Sandhill Close, Woburn Road, High Street, Marston Road, Station Road and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Aspley Guise outside numbers 71 and 73.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 23 May 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Salford Road, Cranfield Road, Weathercock Lane, West Hill, Church Street and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Brittens Lane, Salford outside number 23A.
This temporary closure is required to enable water supply replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 23 May 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Broughton Road, Wavendon Road and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
VARIOUS WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON WEATHERCOCK LANE, ASPLEY GUISE
Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and For facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians). More specifically the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking in the vicinity of Fullbrook Middle School to create a safer environment for those travelling to and from school.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Aspley Guise:-
1. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point approximately 8.5 metres southeast of Station Road (where the existing waiting restrictions end) and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 31 metres.
2. W eathercock Lane, southwest side, from a point approximately 7 metres southeast of Station Road (where the existing waiting restrictions end) and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 8 metres.
3. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point approximately 10 metres northwest of Burrows Close and extending in a south-easterly direction around the junction for the full extent of the footway, a total of approximately 14.5 metres.
4. Burrows Close, northeast side, from a point approximately 5 metres north of a point in line with the south western end of the layby on the opposite side of the road, and extending around the junction for the full extent of the footway. Please see plan for clarification.
5. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point 10 metres southeast of Burrows Close and extending in a north westerly direction before following the curvature of the kerb into Burrows Close for a total of approximately 26 metres, ending where the layby begins.
To introduce No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 8am and 9am and 2:30pm and 4:30pm on the following lengths of road in Aspley Guise:-
1. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point approximately 10 metres northwest of Burrows Close and extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 67 metres.
2. Weathercock Lane, south west side, from a point approximately in line with the shared property boundary between No. 46 Weathercock Lane and Holly Lodge and extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 135 metres.
To introduce No Stopping on School Entrance Markings from Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.30pm:-
1. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point approximately 10 metres southeast of Burrows Close and extending in a south easterly direction for approximately 75 metres.
2. Weathercock Lane, northeast side, from a point approximately in line with the shared property boundary between No. 56 Weathercock Lane and Holly Lodge and extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 25 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO AMEND
TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES ON WEATEHRCOCK LANE, ASPLEY GUISE
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 90 A-I of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, propose to remove an existing road hump and construct a new road hump on Weathercock Lane, Aspley Guise. This proposal is part of a wider package of works to reduce traffic speeds and create a safer environment in the vicinity of Fullbrook Middle School.
A round topped road hump at a nominal height of 75mm, approximately 3.8 metres in length, including ramps and 5.2 metres in width is proposed to be sited at the following location in Aspley Guise:
1. Weathercock Lane, centered at a point approximately 10.4 metres southeast of the shared property boundary between No. 56 Weathercock Lane and Holly Lodge.
If this proposal is successful the current road hump located approximately 3.3 metres northwest of the shared property boundary between No. 56 Weathercock Lane and Holly Lodge will be removed.

On 6th May 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the above named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Upper Caldecote:-
1. Ickwell Road, from a point approximately 5 metres east of the junction with Skylark View and extending in a westerly direction for approximately 114 metres.
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Upper Caldecote:-
2. Ickwell Road, from a point approximately 119 metres west of the junction with Skylark View and extending in a westerly direction for approximately 146 metres.
Date of Operation: The Order will come into operation on 22nd May 2024.

1. Lapwing Drive, both sides, from a point approximately 10 metres south-west of the centre of the junction with Vinegar Hill, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 40 metres.
