Hertfordshire, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B156 STATION ROAD, CUFFLEY/B156 CUFFLEY HILL, GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using length of road B156 Station Road, Cuffley/B156 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak - from its junction with B156 Northaw Road East northwards to its junction with Stagg Hill, a distance of approximately 1882 metres (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B156 Northaw Road East/Northaw Road West/Bakers Hill/Coopers Lane/Hook Lane/Stagg Hill/Southgate Road, the M25, A10 (unnamed road), B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A110 (unnamed road), B117 London Road, A1055 Bullsmoor Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KIMPTON ROAD, OAKHILL) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kimpton Road, Oakhill - from its junction with Oakhill Drive southwards for a distance of approximately 78m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Kimpton Road, Firspring Mill Lane, B656 (Codicote Road/High Street), Luton Road and Kimpton Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HATFIELD AND WELWYN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads, except for access and
To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of the length of roads whilst works are in progress:
the A414 eastbound exit slip road onto A414 Hertford Road, Hatfield from a point 97m north east of its junction with Hertford Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 130m (“the Road”); and
the A1000 Hertford Road north eastbound from its junction with A414 Hertford Road, Hatfield north eastwards for a distance of approximately 116m (“the Road”), and
an alternative route will be via A414 Hertford Road, A1000 Chequers, Mill Green Lane and A414 Hertford Road westbound.
the B197 London Road and A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road, Welwyn:
junction with A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A1000 Hertford Road, Hatfield; and
junction with B197 London Road, Woolmer Green north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the roundabout with A1000 Hertford Road.
all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of Link Drive, Hatfield from its junction with Queensway south westwards for a distance of approximately 104m (“the Road”).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order shall come into force on 22 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK LANE, KIMPTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Park Lane, Kimpton from its junction with Parkfield Crescent north westwards, northwards and north eastwards to its junction with the “Road”), except for access.
There is a no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this Road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
