Markfield Road, Proposed Conversion of Segregated to Unsegregated Shared Use Footway/Cycleway

What is happening?

PROPOSED CONVERSION OF SEGREGATED TO UNSEGREGATED SHARED USE FOOTWAY/CYCLEWAY - MARKFIELD ROAD N15 T07

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the following cycle track alterations under section 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980, as detailed below:

Markfield Road N15To convert the existing shared use segregated footway/cycleway to an unsegregated shared use footway/cycleway on the southwestern side of Markfield Road between Constable Crescent and the southern end of the road outside Markfield Park gate (a length of approximately 90 metres). The unsegregated footway/cycleway will be full width of the footway and supported with bollards to prevent vehicles mounting the footway.
 

A copy of this notice, a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons and plan showing the proposal can be viewed online at https://new.haringey.gov.uk/streets-roads-travel/road-maintenance-improvements/traffic-management-orders-tmos/give-feedback-proposed-tmos. Alternatively, an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect these documents during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR during the consultation period.

Any person wishing to object to the changes or make other representation should send grounds for their objection to traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk or alternatively write to the Traffic Management Group, Alexandra House, 4th floor, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR quoting refence 2025-T07, by 4th June 2025.
