Chapel Street Cycle Tracks - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order For Essential Works

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: 

SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (CHAPEL STREET CYCLE TRACKS) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.

The Order will introduce Cycle Track Closures on: Chapel Street, Salford: (i) North side, starting from a point 25 metres east from the junction of Trinity Way, for a distance of approximately 485 metres in a eastern direction, ending at the junction of Blackfriars Road, (ii) South side, starting from a point 50 metres east from the junction of Blackfriars Street, for a distance of approximately 448 metres in a western direction, ending at the junction of New Bailey Street. The Order is necessary for essential works to be done. The order is due to come into operation on the 19th May 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
