Halifax Area - Multiple Public Footpath Map Modification Order
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990,
SECTION 257 ORDER NO. 01, 2025
Parts of Public Footpaths Shelf 149 and 150 The above Order was made on the 7th day of May 2025 under section 261 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily divert the above public footpaths as follows:
Public footpath, known as Shelf 149 with a recorded width of 1.2 metres commencing at grid reference SE 1093 2899 junction with A644 Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road, proceeding in a generally north easterly direction to grid reference SE 1096 2904.
Public footpath, known as Shelf 150 with a recorded width of 1.2 metres commencing at grid reference SE 1099 2882 junction with A644 Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road and proceeding in a generally nort easterly direction to a point at grid reference SE 1109 2889.
A new footpath to be created with a width of 2 metres commencing at grid reference SE 1112 2883 junction with Cross Lane with a grassed surface, proceeding in a generally north westerly direction for 359 metres to grid
reference SE 1089 2910 the junction with A644 Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge from the Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm on Mondays and Thurdays, 10.00am to 5.30 pm Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Fridays and 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Saturdays. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained at the same address.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent to rightsofway@calderdale.gov.uk or sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Officer, Strategic Infrastructure, Calderdale Council, Mulcture House, Mulcture Hall Road, Halifax, HX1 1SP, not later than 12th June 2025, please state the grounds on which it is made quoting reference ROW/S527/01-2025 when making any such representation or objection.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Borough Council of Calderdale may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent along with the Order.
