TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD
TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than
seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or
near the public bridleway and the effect will be to prohibit any pedestrian equestrian,
or cyclist from proceeding in that length of Public Bridleway No. 14 Owston, known
as the Trans Pennine Trail in the City of Doncaster District as described in the
Schedule to this notice from the 27th May 2025.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst
improvement work is carried out to the surface of the path.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians, equestrian
and cyclists affected by the Order.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 15th day of August
2025 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said public
bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. (PO488)

Location
Public bridleway No.14 Owston, also known as the Trans Pennine Trail commencing
at its junction with Middle Lane at grid reference SE57621085, proceeding in a
south direction for approximately 1270 metres through Owston Wood to grid
reference SE57550975 near the rail crossing.
