U2022 NEWHAM BUILDINGS TO NEWHAM CHATHILL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U2022 Newham Buildings To Newham Chathill from 10 metres southwards of its junction with Ellingham Berwick Borough Footpath 016 heading north eastwards for a distance of 55 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th May 2025 until the 26th May 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th May 2025 until the 20th May 2025 between the hours of 23:00 & 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th May 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U2022, U2027, U2029, U2028, U2030, C70, C69, C68, C66, U2025 and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management to lift out the crossing for a repair.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
