What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NEW BEETWELL STREET, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 18 May 2025 (08:00 to 18:00).
WHERE: New Beetwell Street, Chesterfield at a point underneath access bridge between Pavements Shopping Centre and Beetwell Street car park.
REASON: To facilitate bridge inspection works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - New Beetwell Street (from point of closure), Beetwell Street, Hipper Street, A619, Lordsmill Interchange, A619, West Bars Interchange, West Bars, New Beetwell Street (to point of closure). Anti-Clockwise - New Beetwell Street, West Bars, West Bars Interchange, A619, Lordsmill Interchange, Lordsmill Street, Beetwell Street, New Beetwell Street (to point of closure).
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
