PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(SMESTOW STREET) (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Smestow Street in both directions from outside property 28 to outside property 32.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 27 May 2025 until 30 May 2025.
The diversion route is: Badger Drive, Coven Street, Wright Street and vice versa.

The Order is required to facilitate a new domestic connection by Cadent Gas.
