Suffolk, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Infrastructure Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U6710 NORTH AVENUE, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6710 North Avenue, Haverhill from Queens Way to Castle Lane to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Eastern Avenue, the A1307, the A1017, Burton End and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/05/2025 - 16/05/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U3316 HIGH STREET, TUDDENHAM ST MARTIN

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3316 High Street, Tuddenham St Martin from the junction with Keightley Way to the junction with The Street to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Main Road, Church Lane, Moss Lane, Westerfield Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/05/2025 - 21/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C725 HADLEIGH

ROAD, THE GREEN AND THE STREET, WHATFIELD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. C725 Hadleigh Road, Whatfield from the junction with Whatfields to number 1

  2. C725 The Green, Whatfield from Maple House to Pound Cottage

  3. C725 The Street, Whatfield from number 13 to Green Layer

  4. C725 The Street, Whatfield from Greenbanks to Street Farm

This is to facilitate water mains replacement work. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Naughton Road, New Road, Whatfield Road, Nedging with Naughton, the B1078, the B1115, the A1141, the A1071, the road from the A1071 to the 8417, Cosford Road, Whatfield Road, Aldham and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/05/2025 - 01/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
