Temporary Banned Turns Order 2025
On 9 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from turning right from: (a) Lyon Way (D3435) Frimley Camberley eastbound to turn right into Frimley Road (B3411); and (b) Frimley Road (B3411) Frimley Camberley southbound to turn right into Lyon Way (D3435).
Alternative Route – B3411 (Frimley Road) to Albany Park Road Roundabout and return, or B3411 (Frimley Road) to A325 Portsmouth Road Roundabout and return.
The Order is required to allow SGN to carry out gas main replacement works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 months, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 May 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
A30 London Road and D545 Yaverland Drive, Bagshot
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north-westbound carriageway to D545 Yaverland Drive, Bagshot that extends from its junction with A30 London Road, for a distance of 50m.
2. Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a south-westerly direction on A30 London Road, Bagshot from turning right into D545 Yaverland Drive.
3. Impose a maximum speed limit of 30mph in that length of A30 London Road, Bagshot that extends from its junction with D3586 Waterers Way, to its junction with B3029 Bagshot High Street.
4. “The Surrey County Council London Road (A30) Bagshot/ Camberley and The Maultway (B3015) Camberley (40 mph and 30 mph Speed Limit and Amendment) Order 2023” shall be suspended insofar as imposes a speed limit of 40mph in that length of A30 London Road, Bagshot that extends between its junction with D3586 Waterers Way and its junction with B3029 Bagshot High Street.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 5pm, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 June 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, banned turn, suspension and speed limit, which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of works via the alternative route:- Church Road, Higgs Lane and Yaverland Drive.
The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
