ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (MOORLAND VILLAS, YELVERTON) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 19/5/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 13/6/25. Between the hours of 18:30 & 06:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected: MOORLAND VILLAS, YELVERTON, THE WORK WILL BE TAKING PLACE AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE CAR PARK & SERVICE ROAD AT MOORLAND VILLAS. ROAD CLOSURE & PARKING SUSPENSION. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - CAR PARK ENTRANCE DIVERSION - ROAD PAST ST PAULS CHURCH - A386 - B3212 - ROAD FROM DOUSLAND ROAD TO WESTELLA ROAD - MOORLAND VILLAS & VICE VERSA. BUS GATE DIVERSION - THROUGH CAR PARK. This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: BUS SERVICE IMPROVEMENT WORKS NEXT TO THE BUS STOP ON THE SERVICE ROAD & AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE CAR PARK. (ROAD FROM OAKLANDS FARM TO ITTON CROSS - ROAD FROM DE BATHE CROSS TO ITTON CROSS, NORTH TAWTON) ORDER 2025 TEMPORARY 10 & 40MPH SPEED LIMIT
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 15/5/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 23/5/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 10 miles per hour on the length of road below. A3124: From Itton Cross in a southerly direction for a distance of 950 metres. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 40 miles per hour on the lengths of road below. A3124: From Itton Cross in a northerly direction for a distance of 250 metres A3124: From Oaklands Cross in a southerly direction for a distance of 250 metres. The speed limit in this order will supersede any existing limits when temporary traffic signage is in place. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - ROUTE A - FORD STREET, CALLINGTON ROAD, A390, B3362, ROAD FROM TUELL DOWN CROSS TO BLACKSMITHS ARMS, ROAD FROM BLACKSMITHS ARMS TO VENN HOUSE, ROAD FROM VENN HOUSE TO OLD LAUNCESTON ROAD, LAUNCESTON ROAD. ROUTE B – WEST STREET, RUSSELL STREET, PLYMOUTH ROAD, A390. This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: ROAD CLOSURE REQUIRED FOR SAFETY DUE TO THE TYPE OF OPEN EXCAVATION REQUIRED TO LAY NEW GAS MAIN TO REINFORCE PRESSURES WITHIN LOCAL VICINITY BEFORE REPLACEMENT & UPGRADE WORKS CAN COMMENCE. REINFORCEMENT MAINS NOW REQUIRED DUE TO LINK UNABLE TO BE INSTALLED ON ROCKY HILL FOLLOWING UNSTABLE RETAINING WALL. DUE TO THE MAIN ROUTE FOR THE AMBULANCES TO THE HOSPITAL AGREEMENT HAS BEEN ARRANGED WITH THE HOSPITAL TO ALLOW ACCESS FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
