ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF STEEL STREET HOLMES ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street from its junction with Holmes Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction on Sunday 18th. May 2025 between midnight and 7.30am.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by  the order.

Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (level crossing maintenance).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street from its junction with Holmes Lane for a distance of approximately 210m in a south westerly direction from Monday 19th. May until Friday 30th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by the order. Access will be maintained for businesses and emergency vehicles.

Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of new electrical service).

PART OF BIRDWELL ROAD AND

PART OF NEWSAM ROAD KILNHURST ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Tuesday 27th. May until Friday 30th. May 2025.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Telecom works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Birdwell Road from its junction with Highthorn Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via highthorn road, Meadow View Road, Birdwell Road and vice versa).

(ii)   Newsam Road from its junction with Highthorn Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via Carlisle Street and vice versa).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the five parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for short periods of time between Monday 19th. May and Thursday 17th. July 2025. Only one junction will be closed at any one time.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (renewal of gas main along Fitzwilliam Road).

SCHEDULE

(i)    St. Johns Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(ii)   Fitzwilliam Road service road from its most easterly junction with Fitzwilliam Rd for a distance of approximately 10m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via the opposing junction).

(iii)   Fitzwilliam Road service road from its most westerly junction with Fitzwilliam Rd for a distance of approximately 10m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via the opposing junction).

(iv)   Halsbury Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(v)   Cranworth Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

PART OF DUN STREET SWINTON ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Dun Street in any direction other than a southerly direction, from its junction with A6022 Bridge Street to its northern junction with Walker Street from Monday 19th. May until Tuesday 18th. November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Walker Street, New Station Road and Bridge Street.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (New housing development).

VARIOUS ROADS ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the eight parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for periods of time between Monday 26th. May 2025 and Wednesday 25th. November 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Public realm works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Market Street from the northern kerb line of the unnamed access road (to Forge Island car park) to its junction with Corporation Street/Market Place (the alternative route will be via Main Street, Westgate and Market Place).

(ii)   Domine Lane from its junction with Market Street to the end of the cul de sac (there is no alternative route, access maintained for residents).

(iii)   Market Place between its junction with Domine Lane and its junction with Market Street (the alternative route will be via Main Street, Centenary Way and College Road).

(iv)   Corporation Street between its junction with Market Place and its junction with Bridge Street (the alternative route will be via Main Street, Centenary Way, College Road, Bridge Street, College Road, Centenary Way and Main Street for south bound Bus Lane traffic).

(v)   High Street from its junction with Moorgate Street to its junction with Westgate (the alternative route will be via Ship Hill).

(vi)   Ship Hill from its junction with Moorgate Street to its junction with Westgate (the alternative route will be via Mansfield Road, Wellgate, Doncaster Gate, Howard Street, Drummond Street and Centenary Way).

(vii)  Westgate from its junction with Main Street to its junction with Market Place (the alternative route will be via Main Street, Centenary Way and College Road).

(viii) Upper Millgate from its junction with Bridgegate and Church Street to its junction with Corporation Street (there is no alternative route).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice on Sunday 18th. May 2025 between 8am and 6pm.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via B6089 Packman Road, Hoober Lane and Hoober Field Road.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Installation of fibre cables for network upgrade).

SCHEDULE

(i)    America Lane full length.

(ii)   Hoober Field Road from its junction with America Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a northerly direction.

A631 EAST BAWTRY ROAD AND VARIOUS ROADS WHISTON ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the eleven parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Monday 26th. May until Friday 20th. June 2025 between 9pm. and 5.00 a.m. each day.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i)    A631   East Bawtry Road between Worry Goose Island and Whiston Crossroads (the alternative route will be via A618 Moorgate Road, A6178 Hollowgate, A6178 Wellgate, A6021 Broom Road, Wickersley Road to Stag roundabout and A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road. and westbound traffic via A6021 Wickersley Road, Broom Road, A6178 Wellgate, Hollowgate and A618 Moorgate Road).

(ii)   A631 East Bawtry Road service road north (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iii)   Maynard Road at its junctions with A631 East Bawtry Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iv)   A631 East Bawtry Road service road south at its junctions with A631 East Bawtry Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(v)   Flat Lane (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(vi)   Hind Road at its junctions with A631 East Bawtry Road service road south (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(vii)  Lease Gate  Road at its junctions with A631 East Bawtry Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(viii) Shrogswood Road at its junctions with A631 East Bawtry Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(ix)  B6410 Broom Lane from its junction with Worry Goose Island for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction (the alternative route will be via A6021 Wickersley Road, Broom Road, A6178 Wellgate, Hollowgate, A618 Moorgate Road).

(x)   B6410 Worrygoose Lane from its junction with Worry Goose Island for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via B6060 Morthen Road, A631 Bawtry Road, A6021 Wickersley Road, Broom Road, A6178 Wellgate, Hollowgate and A618 Moorgate Road).

(xi)  A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road from its junction with Worry Goose Island for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via A6021 Wickersley Road, Broom Road, A6178 Wellgate, Hollowgate, A618 Moorgate Road).

May until Friday 30th. May 2025.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Electrical remedial works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Union Street from the southern kerb line of Jackys Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via Woodall Lane, Killamarsh Lane, Woodall Road, Mansfield Road, Rotherham Road, School Road, Wales Road, Station Road, Hard Lane, Union Street and vice versa).

(ii)   Serlby Lane at its junction with Union Street(the alternative route will be via Doctor Lane and vice versa).

May and Friday 1st. August 2025. The road will be closed in phases to maintain access.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Water main replacement).
