Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

The Portbury Hundreds, Portbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 10 June 2025

Ref: T25-11

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of site investigation works and will become operative on 10 June 2025, anticipated to be of 2 days. The working hours will be 9.30am and 3.30pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – The Portbury Hundred entire extents.

Alternative routes – Portbury Common, Bristol Road, Clevedon Road, Walton Road, Tickenham Road, Old Tickenham Road, Tickenham Hill, West Hill, Beggar Bush Lane, Abbots Leigh Road, Pill Road, Haberfield Hill, Martcombe Road, Rectory Road, St Georges Hill, A369 Junction 19 Interchange and vice-versa

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Oxleaze Lane, Dundry, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 24 July 2025

Ref: SW25.26-018

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, resident’s vehicles and as works permit for farm vehicles which may be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to bridge inspection by Openreach to provide overhead new cabling. The order will become operative on the 24 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works in which it is anticipated to be 6 hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Restricted Byway LA2/18/10 (Backwell Hill), Backwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 30 July 2025

Ref: SW25.26-020

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of restricted byway specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of restricted byway.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace stop tap. This order will become operative on 30 July 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Highdale Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 27 May 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace stop tap. This order will become operative on the 27 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Claverham Road, Claverham, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 28 May 2025

Ref: SW24.25-352

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide overhead fibre cable. This order will become operative on the 28 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Claverham Road from junction with Claverham Close for 115m westward to junction Stowey Park.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 27 May 2025

Ref: SW24.25-368

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas main. This order will become operative on the 27 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to commence on 7 July 2025 and be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – High Street outside Clarence House, Greystoke Business Centre to Brampton Way; Brampton Way between Court Close and High Street.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to install three new water supplies. This order will become operative on the 31 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Access only.
