What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER - NOI FOR PLANNED FOOTPATH RENEWAL WORKS - [Northern] FOOTPATH between WESTERN AVENUE & EALING ROAD, Southall

1. Ealing Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make a temporary Order to facilitate footpath renewal works to be undertaken safely.

2. The effect of Order would be to prohibit pedestrians, cyclists [and all footpath users] from entering or proceeding, on the lengths of road specified in Schedule to this Order, at such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.

3. The Order would come into effect at 0800 hours on Monday, 19 May 2025.

4. The maximum duration of the Order would be 12 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated that the works would be completed by October 2025.

5. Diversions for pedestrians, cyclists [and all footpath users] would be via Eskdale Avenue, Rectory Gardens, Ealing Road and vice versa.

6. Exemptions would be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
(b) any persons in connection with the execution of the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

SCHEDULE
FOOTPATH CLOSURE
The footpath located on the north-east side of the south eastbound lanes of Western Avenue the of slip road (opposite No. 28 Eskdale Avenue to its junction with Ealing Road).
