What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY
INTRODUCTION OF A 30 MPH SPEED
RESTRICTION
YORK ROAD, HAYTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to introduce a 30 mph speed restriction along the
entire length of York Road, Hayton commencing 9 June
2025 at 09.30 hours until 27 June 2025 at 15.30
hours for the purposes of safe access to an Openreach
joint box to provide a new FTTP network.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within 19 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via: N/A. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure.
