Parking Places – Disabled Persons’
Vehicles
The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places
(Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025”, (S.R. 2025
No. 79) which comes into operation on 22 May 2025.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Ardglass, Ballymoney, Belfast,
Derry/Londonderry, Donaghadee, Dungannon, Magherafelt, Newtownards and Portaferry and
remove parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast and Omagh.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday
9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged by telephoning
0300 200 7899. The Rule may also be viewed online at

Temporary Traffic Regulation
Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn
Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure using its powers under Article
7 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has temporarily
prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn from Ravarnet Road to Altona Road.
This road will be closed from Monday 19th May until Friday 13th June 2025, from 09:30hrs
to 16:30rs each day.
The closure is required for DfI Roads Eastern (Resurfacing works).
Alternative route: Ravarnet Road – A1 Hillsborough Road – A1 Laganbank Road – A1 Queens
Road – A49 Sloan Street – Young Street – Hillsborough Old Road.
