TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BECKHAM EAST AND WEST – Church Road from its junction with Beckham Palace Road for 40m eastwards to facilitate resurfacing works from 19th to 20th May 2025 (may continue until 1st July 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Otters Lane, Red Barn Lane, Gibbet Lane, Holt Road, Cromer Road, The Street (East Beckham, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). The works promoter is Garrod Construction.

BEESTON REGIS – Britons Lane from its junction with Beeston Regis Footpath 13 for 100m north eastwards to facilitate tree cutting works from 19th to 21st May 2025 (may continue until 2nd July 2025). BODHAM – Rectory Road from 125m west of its junction with New Road for 180m north westwards to facilitate for a new electrical connection from 19th to 23rd May 2025 (may continue until 4th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Rectory Road, Church Road, Selbrigg Road, Cromer Road, The Street, Long Lane, Osier Lane (High Kelling, West Beckham, Bodham, Holt). The works promoter is UK Power Network.

BRUNDALL – The Street from its junction with Station Road for 585m westwards to facilitate gas mains upgrade works from 19th May to 6th June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Blofield Road, Brundall Road, Stocks Lane, Yarmouth Road, A47, Cucumber Lane (Brundall, Postwick with Witton, Blofield). The works promoter is Cadent.

CAISTER-ON-SEA – Westerley Way from 110m west of its junction with Westerley Close for 90m westwards to facilitate works to install a new electricity service from 20th to 27th May 2025 (may continue until 8th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Westerley Way, West Road. The works promoter is UK Power Network.

CANTLEY, LIMPNENEHOE AND SOUTHWOOD – Cantley Footpath 24 from its junction with Church Road for 75m northwards to facilitate works to make footpath more suitable to the public from 19th to 23rd May 2025 (may continue until the 4th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Malthouse Lane, Langley Road, Station Road (Cantley, Limpenhoe and Southwood). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – High Street from its junction with Duke Road for 765m northwards to facilitate surface dressing and road lining works between 06:00 and 11:00 on the 18th May 2025 (may continue until 29th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Beccles Road, Church Road, Church Lane. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Beaufort Way from its junction with Oak Road for 1215m westwards to facilitate surface dressing works from 17th to 25th May 2025 only whilst signs and cones are in place (may continue until the 29th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Oak Road, Crab Lane, Church Lane, Middleton Garden, St Annes Crescent, Oak Road (Gorleston-On-Sea) B1370 Roundabout, Lowestoft Road, A47 Gorleston On Sea Rarm Dualling to B1370 roundabout in Gorleston on Sea. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB – Please note that the above road may be subject to short notice changes in dates. No works will take place on Bank Holidays and Sundays.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Nelson Road North from its junction with Euston Road for 80m northwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 19th to 20th May 2025 (may continue until 1st July 2025). Alternative route is via: North Denes Road, Sandringham Avenue, Barnard Avenue, North Drive. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – North Drive from 90m north of its junction with Tennyson Road for 50m northwards to facilitate repairs to air valve in manhole on the 20th May 2025 (may continue until 1st July 2025). Alternative route is via: North Drive, Jellicoe Road, Beatty Road, Barnard Avenue, Tennyson Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GREAT YARMOUTH

  1. King Street from its junction with Alexandra Road for 245m southwards and

  2. Regent Street from its junction King Street for 267m south-westwards and

  3. Dene Side from its junction with Alexandra Road for 190m northwards and

  4. Regent Road from its junction with King Street for 30m northwards to facilitate switching of one-way systems works as part of the Great Yarmouth gyratory redesign from 17th to 18th May 2025 (may continue until 29th June 2025). NORTH WALSHAM – New Road from its junction with Mundesley Road to Pound Lane for 100m westwards to facilitate carriageway defect repair works between 09:00 and 20:00 on 17th May 2025 (may continue until 28th June 2025). ORMESBY ST. MARGARET WITH SCRATBY – Station Road from 110m east of its junction with Symonds Avenue for 40m eastwards to facilitate new water connection works from 19th to 22nd May 2025 (may continue until 3rd July 2025). Alternative route is via: Station Road, Scratby Road, Yarmouth Road, North Road, Station Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

POSTWICK WITH WITTON – Broadland Way from its junction with Cranley Road for 400m southwards to facilitate resurfacing works to facilitate surface degradation between 20:00 and 06:00 from 19th to 21st May 2025 (may continue until the 2nd July 2025). Alternative route is via: Cranley Road, Peachman Way, Broadland Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

ROLLESBY AND ORMESBY ST. MICHAEL – A149 Main Road from 300m southeast of its junction with Back Lane for 200m south eastwards to facilitate carriageway patching works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 21st to 23rd May 2025 (may continue until 4th July 2025).
