Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices - Temporary Road Closures, Footpath Closures, and Parking Amendments

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) A3102 (Part), Melksham; from its property known as Avonside Enterprise Park to its property known as Dominos Pizza to enable mitie telecomstm to carry out telecoms works access with cherry picker and associated works. Alternative route via A3102 (unaffected length) – Eastern Way – Snowberry Lane – A365 – A350 – A3102 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 for 1 night. B) Kennet Way (Part), Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with Canal Road to its entrance to Wickes to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Kemmett Way (unaffected length) – Avon Way – Canal Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 June 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 09 June 2025. C) C218 (Part), Bulkington; from its junction with Bulkington Drove to its property known as The Well Inn to enable Openreach to carry out cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C218 (unaffected length) – C20 – A361 – C233 – C218 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) King Street (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Kings Rise to its junction with Kings Court to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway surfacing and associated works. Alternative route via King Street (unaffected length) – South Street – Brook Street – King Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 June 2025 and the closure will be required between 08:00 and 16:00 for 4 working days.

E) C231 (Part), Holt, South Wraxall and Atworth; from its junction with C224 to its junction with UC 836301 to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C231 (unaffected length) – C169 – B3109 – C224 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach.

F) C324 (Part), North Bradley; from outside its property known as Brookerwood Farm to outside its property known as Brookerwood House to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C234 (unaffected length) – Somerset network – A361 – C234 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) Snowberry Lane (Part), Melksham; from its junction with Lavender Close to its junction with Saxifrage Bank to enable F J Morris Contracting Ltd to carry out construction of 2 new manholes in the carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via Snowberry Lane (unaffected length) – Eastern Way – Melksham Relief Road – Spa Road – Snowberry Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025 and the closure will be required until 18 May 2025. For further information please contact F J Morris Contracting Ltd on 01327 811513.

H) Stokes Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Kinneir Close to enable Wessex Water to carry out damaged carriageway replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via Stokes Road (unaffected length) – Pound Pill – South Place – Station Road and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 10 March 2025 will now recommence on 12 May 2025 and the closure will be required for 2 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users:

A) Footpath 8 (Part), Warminster; from a point approximately 85m east of its junction with Footpath 10, Warminster for a distance of approximately 465m in a north easterly direction.

B) Footpath 13 (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Footpath 8, Warminster for a distance of approximately 65m in a northerly direction to enable construction of the new public right of way section/closure required due to close proximity to current phase 2 construction (planning application ref PL/2022/08898), drainage infrastructure will be installed. No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 02 June 2025 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 01 December 2025. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:

Footpath 6 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Wick Lane to its junction with Footpath 41, Lacock to enable footpath closed in the interest of public safety due to a damaged bridge. Alternative route via Footpath 41, Lacock – Wick Lane and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which was due to expire on 15 May 2025 will now continue in force until 15 November 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is earliest. ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Bradford on Avon Consolidation Order 2024 by revoking Map Schedule Nos EJ21 and EK20 dated 15/11/2024 and replacing them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos EJ21 and EK20 the effect of which will be as follows: To revoke the existing Parking Mon - Sat 8am - 6pm 1 hour No return within 1 hour Except Permit Holders and introduce Parking Mon - Sat 8am - 6pm Permit Holders B or 1 hour No return within 1 hour on B3107 Woolley Street – north side – from the eastern boundary of No.19 Woolley Street to the eastern boundary of No.11 Woolley Street; from a point 10 metres west of its junction with The Mount for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction.

To carry out an administrative change (to reflect what is on the ground) to amend within Order the current Parking on Frome Road and St Margaret’s Street to Parking Mon - Sat 8am - 8pm Permit Holders A or 2 hours No return within 2 hours, no changes will take place on the ground.

To reflect within the Order the current permit holder eligibility for Zone A (unchanged) and to include within the Order the eligibility of Zone B as: Silver Street – House Nos. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Woolley Street – House Nos. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17.

Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Bradford on Avon Library, Bridge Street, Bradford on Avon between the hours of 10am - 7pm Monday, 9.30am - 5pm Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am - 7pm Thursday and 9.30am - 4pm Saturday until 2 June 2025.
