Colindale Avenue, Temporary Road Closure Due To Tower Crane Dimantling Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SECTION 14(1) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE COLINDALE AVENUE, NW9

The BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to the need to facilitate the dismantling and removal of a tower crane for the development at Colindale Station, NW9 they intend to make an Order which will close Colindale Avenue, NW9 from the junction with Edgware Road, A5 to the junction with Booth Road, NW9. Due to the nature of the work back-up dates are required as the weather will determine whether works can go ahead as planned. The works will commence on Saturday 7th June at 8pm and is expected to last for 5 nights. The back-up date is Thursday 12th June and is expected to last for 5 nights. The closure will be in place from 8pm to 5am only.

Access will be always maintained for residents. A temporary diversion route will be in place, for traffic going north bound on Edgware Road (A5) vehicles will use Edgware Road (A5), Watling Avenue, Lanacre Avenue, Grahame Park Way and Colindale Avenue. For traffic going south bound on Edgware Road (A5) vehicles will use Edgware Road (A5), Colindeep Lane, Watford Way (A41), Aerodrome Road and Colindale Avenue. Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
