THE ASHFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH AU70 (parts), ASHFORD)
PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2025
The above Order was made on 7 May 2025under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Orderwillbe to stop up the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered AU70, which commences on the north-west side of Beaver Lane at NGR TQ 9942 4183 (point A) and runs south-east for 73 metres to the north-west side of Watercress Lane at NGR TQ 9948 4179 (point B),between the points A-B on the Order plan. The effect of the Order will also be to stop up the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered AU70, which commences on the south-east side of Watercress Lane at NGR TQ 9949 4179 (point C) and runs on a curved alignment east through south-east for 41 metres to its connection with the north-west side of Cross Stile at NGR TQ 9952 4178 (point D), between the points C-D on the Order plan.

(RESTRICTED BYWAY ED56 AT SHOLDEN AND DEAL)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order was made on 2nd April 2025 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading to Restricted Byway status the entire length of Public Footpath ED56 (known as Church Lane) commencing at its junction with London Road and continuing in a generally east-north-easterly direction for approximately 410 metres to its junction with the full highway also known as Church Lane. The route has a width of 3 metres.

(BRIDLEWAY EE422 AT SUTTON)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order was made on 30thApril 2025 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:
a)
upgrading to Bridleway status, with a width of 5.5 metres, that section of Public Footpath EE423A which commences at its junction with Willow Woods Road at Little Mongeham (opposite Manor Farm) and runs in a south-south-easterly direction for a distance of 50 metres to a junction with Public Footpath EE422 at NGR TR 3336 5084 (This section of path is also renumbered to form part of EE422); and,
b)
upgrading to Bridleway status, with a width of 1.83 metres (6ft), the entire length of Public Footpath EE422, commencing at the previously described point at NGR TR 3336 5084 and running in a south-easterly direction for 1200 metres to a junction with Beacon Hill (opposite the property known as ‘Linden Lea’) at NGR TR 3431 5009. The way was dedicated subject to the limitation of gates at NGR TR 3399 5040 and NGR TR 3431 5009.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 in the Parishes of Worth and Sholden

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 sections 16A – C as inserted by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 section 1.
Kent County Council intends to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 to all motorised traffic, between Dicksons Corner and its junction with Public Footpath EE247 and from the Cinque Ports clubhouse to Greenacres from 00:01 on Friday 13 June to 23:59 on Tuesday 17 June 2025.
The path will be closed to facilitate the holding of the Amateur Championship at the Royal Cinque Golf Club.
An alternative route is available and can be used by all traffic via Guildford Road from Dicksons Corner, around the golf course and rejoining Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 at its junction with Public Footpath EE247. The alternative route will be signed for the duration of the closure.

The above Order was made on 30th April 2025 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding:

a Restricted Byway numbered KH669, with a width of 3 metres, which commences at a junction with the A20 Ashford Road at Old Shelve Farm at Lenham, and runs in a generally south-south-westerly through southerly direction for approximately 1140 metres to a point south of the Maidstone-Ashford Railway Line at TQ 9206 5039; and
•
a Byway Open to All Traffic numbered KH670, with a width of 3 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point at TQ 9206 5039 and runs in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 310 metres to a junction with Rose Lane and Public Footpath KH402.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath WB11 between King Standing Way and where it leaves the field to the east (NGR TQ 6095 4292), from the 07 June 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path is closed because there is a likelihood of danger to users.
The is no alternative route.
