Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

College Avenue, Tonbridge, TN9 2NS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Avenue, Tonbridge, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property numbers 2 and 4. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Masefield Way, Burns Crescent, College Avenue and vice versa.

 

Copt Hall Road, Ightham, TN15 9DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a water meter exchange to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Copt Hall Road, Ightham, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside High Dapple. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Copt Hall Road, Common Road, Sandy Lane, Coach Road, Copt Hall Road and vice versa.

 

Exedown Road, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Exedown Road, Wrotham, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Old Terrys Lodge Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Terrys Lodge Road, A20 London Road, Bull Lane, High Street, Kemsing Road, Exedown Road and vice versa.

 

Knowle Road, Wouldham ME1 3GE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knowle Road, Wouldham, on or after 24th May 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cornwall Crescent. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Road, Rochester Road, New Court Road, Village Road, Peters Bridge Roundabout, Hall Road, Known Road and vice versa.

 

Leigh Road, Hildenborough, TN11 9AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drain cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leigh Road, Hildenborough, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Selby’s Oast to the junction of Powder Mills. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Leigh Road, Powder Mill Lane, B2027 Hildenborough Road, B2027 Stocks Green Road and vice versa.

 

Vigo Hill, Trottiscliffe TN15 7JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drain cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Hill, Trottiscliffe, on or after 3rd June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A227 Gravesend Road and Pilgrims Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Taylors Lane, Ford Lane, A20 London Road, A20 Maidstone Road, A25 Maidstone Road, High Street, A227 Western Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A20 London Road, A227 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
