Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A21 Weald Interchange (Morleys Roundabout), B245 London Road, A225 Riverhill & Morleys Road, Sevenoaks Weald (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Street Lighting works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A21 Weald Interchange (Morleys Roundabout) and on part of B245 London Road, A225 Riverhill & Morleys Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 3 nights between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

A21 Weald Interchange (Morleys Roundabout) will be closed for the entire length.

B245 London Road, A225 Riverhill and Morleys Road will be closed at their junctions with A21 Weald Interchange (Morleys Roundabout).

Diversion routes are as follows:

B245 London Road – B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B245 London Road, B2260 High Street, B2260 Railway Approach, A26 Quarry Hill Road, A26 Quarry Hill Slip Northbound On, A21, Bessels Green Slip North Off, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, A225 High Street, A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill & B245 London Road.

 A225 Riverhill no access to Morleys roundabout - Traffic will continue onto B245 London Road.

Morleys Road - Glebe Road, Hubbards Hill, Gracious Lane, A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill.

No access to roundabout - Traffic to continue on A21 northbound for traffic heading towards Sevenoaks will leave off Bessels Green Slip North Off.  Southbound traffic to continue to Tonbridge and exit at Vauxhall Slip Southbound off, A2014 Pembury Road, B2260 Railway Approach, B2260 High Street, B245 London Road.

 

Daltons Road, Chelsfield BR8 8EW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of pole replacement and testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Daltons Road, Chelsfield, on or after 20th May 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Gables Farm and number 2.

The alternative route is via Daltons Road, Skeet Hill

Lane, Gorse Road, Skibbs Lane, East Hall Road, Waldens Road, B258 Crockenhill Road/Cray Road, Tylers Green Road and vice versa.

 

Five Fields Lane, Four Elms. TN8 6LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of repainting works to the bridge, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Fields Lane, Four Elms, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 9 days between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between B2027 Four Elms Road and Little Postling Farmhouse.

The alternative route is via B2027 Four Elms Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road, B2027 Clinton Lane and vice versa.

 

Furnace Lane, Cowden. TN8 7JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of tree cutting to keep branches away from power lines, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Cowden, on or after 23rd May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Badger Hus and Little Basing Farm.

The alternative route is via Furnace Lane, Holtye Hill, A264 Holtye Road, Shepherds Grove Lane, Smithers Lane, Furnace Lane and vice versa.

 

Nightingale Lane, Ide Hill. TN14 6BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nightingale Lane, Ide Hill, on or after 5th June 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to Beech Grove to the junction of B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill.

The alternative route is via B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Roundabout, Sundridge Road, Little Norman Street, Nightingale Lane and vice versa.

 

Pounsley Road, Dunton Green. TN13 2UF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pounsley Road, Dunton Green, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A224 London Road.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

St Clere, Kemsing. TN15 6NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a pole test, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Clere, Kemsing, on or after 23rd May 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near number 3.

The alternative route is via Heaverham Road, Cotmans Ash Lane, Pilgrims Way, St Clere and vice versa.

 

Underriver House Road, Underriver. TN15 0SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Underriver House Road, Underriver, on or after 5th June 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Hildenborough Road and Underriver House.

The alternative routes for any through traffic is via:

Mill Lane, Carters Hill, Underriver House Road.

Hildenborough Road, Riding Lane, Vines Lane and Underriver House Road.

 

Walnut Close, Eynsford. DA4 0HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Walnut Close, Eynsford, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
