Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
Cobham Street, Gravesend. DA11 0PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cobham Street, Gravesend, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed. The one way order will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed outside number 7.
The alternative route is via Darnley Road, Arthur Street and A227 Wrotham Road.
Hever Court Road & Valley Drive (access road), Gravesend. DA12 5UD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of SGN works for the Lower Thames Crossing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Valley Drive (access road) and suspend the cycle lane on Hever Court Road, Gravesend on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 47 days or until the works have been completed.
Valley Drive (access road) will be closed between Hever Court Road and Franklin Road as and when indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The cycle lane will be suspended on Hever Court Road at the junction of Valley Drive.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Lansdown Place, Northfleet DA11 7DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of access to a telecoms mast for testing/maintenance works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lansdown Place, Northfleet, on or after 20th May 2025 for up to 1 night between 18.30hrs to 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside SK MOT Testing Centre.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Norwood Lane, Meopham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) DA13 0JA TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Norwood Lane, Meopham, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Alexander House.
The alternative route is via Norwood Lane, Green Lane, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
WHITE HORSE LANE, HARVEL ROAD, ERSKINE ROAD, COMMORITY ROAD & DAVID STREET MEOPHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Harvel 5 Mile Running Race - 7 June 2025
Kent County Council intends to make an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-
White Horse Lane (from Dean Lane to Harvel Road)
Harvel Road (from White House Road to Erskine Road)
Erskine Road (from Harvel Road to Commority Road)
Commority Road (whole length)
David Street (from Harvel Lane to Heron Hill Lane)
The Order will be effective when required on Saturday 7 June 2025 between 12.00hrs and 16.00hrs. The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply in the direction and only at such times as indicated by traffic signs in operation. Nothing in the Order will apply to:
• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.
• Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.
• Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
