Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Butter Street, Nonington, CT15 4JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Butter Street, Nonington, on or after 21st May 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Sandwich Road for approximately 110m in a Northerly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Butter Street, Chapmans Hill, Ackholt Road, Aylesham Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Chapel Lane, St Margarets At Cliffe, CT15 6AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, St Margarets At Cliffe, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Knotts Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Lane, Sea Street, High Street, Kingsdown Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hay Hill, Ham, CT14 0ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hay Hill, Ham, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Hay Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hay Hill, Brook Street, The Cross, Lower Street, Dover Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, Northbourne Road, Updown Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hoaden Lane, Ash, CT3 2LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hoaden Lane, Ash, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 4 Hoaden Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hoaden Lane, Sheerwater Road, Padbrook Lane, Church Hill, Elmstone, Nash Road, Overland Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

New Street, Ash, CT3 2BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Ash, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 104, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, Marshborough Road, Beacon Lane, Drainless Road, Fleming Road, Lower Road, Durlock Road, Guilton, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St Radigunds Road, Dover, CT17 0JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Radigunds Road, Dover, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 33, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Magdala Road, Coombe Valley Road, Barwick Road, St Radigunds Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Woodnesborough, CT13 0NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Woodnesborough, on or after 5th June 2025 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Oak Hill for approximately 270m in an Easterly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oak Hill, Foxborough Hill, Statenborough Lane, Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, St Barts Road, Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wass Drove, Westmarsh, CT3 2LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wass Drove, Westmarsh, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Clampitts Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wass Drove, Ware Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Various Roads, Deal, CT14 7BA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Deal, on or after 1st June 2025 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only.

A258 Deal Castle Road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A258 Prince of Wales Terrace will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A258 The Beach will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Victoria Road, Gilford Road, Park Avenue, Mill Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street and A258 Broad Street.

The alternative route for any HGV traffic is via A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road, Station Road, Court Road, Salisbury Road, St Richards Road, Mill Hill, B2056 Manor Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street and A258 Broad Street. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Various Roads, Whitfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads Whitfield, on or after 2nd June 2025 until the works have been completed.

Phase 1 - Works will be carried out between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from 2nd June 2025, with estimated completion by 7th June 2025.

A256 Link between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts will be closed in a Northbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout will be closed Southside between the junctions A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On and of A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout will be closed Westside between the junctions of A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On and A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off and A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout.

Phase 2 - Works will be carried out between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from 6th October 2025, with estimated completion by 1st November 2025.

A256 Link between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts will be closed in a Southbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout will be closed Southside between the junctions A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On and of A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout will be closed Westside between the junctions of A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On and A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Interchange Southern Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout and Junction with A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off and A2 Whitfield Interchange Northern Roundabout.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
