Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Bad Munstereifel Road, Kingsnorth. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bad Munstereifel Road, Kingsnorth, in phases, on weeknights only.

Phase 1 - The road will be closed Southbound only, from 2nd June 2025, with estimated completion by 14th June 2025, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.

Phase 2 - The road will be closed Northbound only, from 16th June 2025, with estimated completion by 28th June, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.

The closures will be imposed between Flanders Field roundabout and the junction with A2070 Cloverleaf, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2042 Romney Marsh Road, A2042 Station Road and A292 Mace Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bethersden Road, Woodchurch. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Bethersden Road, Woodchurch, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 20th May 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bethersden Road, Plurenden Road, Woodchurch Road, Church Hill, A28 Ashford Road, Woodchurch Road, Bethersden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Blackwall Road, Wittersham, TN30 7EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Blackwall Road, Wittersham, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 21st May 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the property The Lea, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, B2082 Stocks Road, Rye Road, Wittersham Road, Iden Road, Main Street, Iden Road, A268 Rye Road, Main Road, School Lane, Flackley Ash, Mackerel Hill, Wittersham Road, Blackwall Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Buck Street, Challock, TN25 4AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Buck Street, Challock, from 21:00 hours on 21st May 2025, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 22nd May 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the property Claxton Joy, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A251 Buck Street, Faversham Road, A252 Canterbury Road, The Street, Maidstone Road, A28 Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, A2042 Faversham Road, A251 Faversham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road, Wye. TN25 5NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road, Wye, from 6th June 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Goodcheap Lane heading northwards for approximately 560m, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hinxhill Road, Honeysuckle Avenue, A20 Hythe Road, A2070 Willesborough Interchange, A2070 Kennington Road, A2070 Willesborough Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Bramble Lane, Churchfield Way, Upper Bridge Street, Oxenturn Road, Naccolt Road, Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lenacre Street, Eastwell. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lenacre Street, Eastwell, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 23rd May 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from The Old Rectory, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenacre Street, Kingsland Lane, Westwell Lane and Sandyhurst Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Newtown Road, Ashford. (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow bus stop installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting pedestrians on part of Newtown Road, Ashford footway, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 21st May 2025, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00, or until the works have been completed.

The footway will be closed between the junctions with Alfred Road and Newtown Green, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Newtown Green, Alfred Road and vice versa.

 

Old Way, Appledore, TN26 2BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Way, Appledore, from 2nd June 2025, with estimated completion by 13th June 2025, between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with B2080 The Street and The Old Vicarage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow fire hydrant works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden, from 2nd June 2025, with estimated completion by 6th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Potteries Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harris Lane, Thurstons Lane, Shawlands Lane, Hookstead, A28 Ashford Road and Bull Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Standard Lane, Bethersden, TN26 3JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Standard Lane, Bethersden, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 21st May 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Three Gables, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standard Lane, Chequer Tree Lane, Gascoigne Road, A28 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Stonebridge Green Road, Charing & Egerton. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stonebridge Green Road, Charing & Egerton, from 6th June 2025, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Verralls Oaks and Old Orchard Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stonebridge Green Road, Coach Road, Egerton Road, Hurst Lane, Park Lane, Hunger Hatch Lane, Pluckley Road, Charing Road, New Road, The Street and Field Mill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street & Station Road, Pluckley. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street & Station Road, Pluckley, from 19th May 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed from the junction with Forge Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forge Hill, Smarden Road, Chambers Green Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tritton Fields, Kennington, TN24 9EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2025

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tritton Fields, Kennington, from 19th May 2025, with estimated completion by 20th May 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 88, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Tritton Fields, Marlborough Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

William Road, Ashford, TN23 7US (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of William Road, Ashford, from 2nd June 2025, with estimated completion by 6th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 58 and 62, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Christchurch Road, Francis Road, Bond Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
