CHRISTCHURCH ROAD, TEMPLE SHEEN AND BERWYN AVENUE, EAST SHEEN

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under section 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce lengths of double yellow lines at the junctions of Christchurch Road with Berwyn Avenue and Christchurch Road with Temple Sheen and in Christchurch Road to the west of West Temple Sheen.

  3. Copies of further particulars relating to the Order: -

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/073, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  4. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 28 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. RAISED CROSSING AND RAISED JUNCTION ENTRY

CHRISTCHURCH ROAD, EAST SHEEN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames proposes to install a raised zebra crossing in Christchurch Road East Sheen and a junction entry in Berwyn Avenue East Sheen.

The controlled area of the crossing will be sited from a point 30 metres west of the western kerb-line of West Temple Sheen, extending westwards for a distance of 44 metres. The table will be sited some 39 metres west of the western kerb-line of West Temple Sheen, with a length, including ramps of 9 metres and height of 75mm. The ramps will have a 1:20 gradient.

The Council also propose to introduce an entry treatment in Berwyn Road at its junction with Christchurch Road with a length, including ramps of 10 metres and height of 75mm. The ramps will have a 1:20 gradient.

A drawing of this proposed design will be available for public inspection for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice, quoting reference 25/072 at:

(a) the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; or

(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

Any comments regarding the proposals should be sent within 21 days of the date of this Notice to Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Cycle Lane Suspension,

Hampton Court Road, Hampton

(Reference 25/071)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Hampton Court Road, Hampton.

  2. Whilst the works take place, the cycle lane in Hampton Court Road, Hampton shall be suspended from a point approximately 231 metres east of Chestnut Avenue for a distance of 80 metres in an eastwards direction.

  3. The order will come into effect on 22 May 2025, the works are anticipated to be in progress at all times from 22 May to 28 May 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Waiting Restrictions

Meadlands Drive & Clifford Road, Petersham

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate construction works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Meadlands Drive, Petersham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in Clifford Road in the 2 bays outside and opposite Number 33, and Meadlands Drive from the end of the single yellow line outside number 92 to outside number 80 and opposite number 86/88.

  3. The order will come into effect on 19 May 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 19 May 2025 until 19 December 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Paradise Road, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Old Palace Lane from outside number 26 in a southwards direction for a distance of 30 metres.

  3. The order will come into effect on 21 May 2025. The restrictions will be in force on the 21 May 2025 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Paradise Road, Richmond

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water utility survey works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Paradise Road, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Paradise Road from its junction with Eton Street to a point outside No 32 Paradise Road.

  3. The order will come into effect on 15 May 2025. The restrictions will be in force between 20:00 and 23:59 on 15 May 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sheen Road and Eton Street.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

Road Closure & Temporary Parking Restrictions

Percy Road, The Avenue, & Broad Lane Hampton

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water connection works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Percy Road, The Avenue, and Broad Lane Hampton.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand at the following locations:

    (a) Percy Road (Junction with Broad Lane) both sides of the road from the termination of the double yellow lines for a distance of 25m

    (b) Broad Lane (Junction with The Avenue and Percy Road) both sides of the road from the termination of the double yellow lines for a distance of 25m.

    (c) The Avenue (Junction with Broad Lane) both sides of the road from the termination of the double yellow lines for a distance of 25m.

    (d) The slip road outside the shops will also be closed from the junction with Percy Road to the junction with Broad Lane.

  3. The order will come into effect on 10 May 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 May to 18 May 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Waiting Restrictions

Hanworth Road, Hampton

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate construction works and deliveries they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Hanworth Road, Hampton.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to wait or stand in Hanworth Road from a point outside number 122 north eastwards for a distance of 50m, and opposite from a point outside number 193 north eastwards for a distance of 50m to a point outside number 179.

  3. The order will come into effect on 12 May 2025. The restrictions will remain in force at all times from 12 May 2025 to 21 October 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.
