What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Post Office Road, Woodham Mortimer)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Post Office Road, Woodham Mortimer in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Conduit Lane to its junction with Burnham Road a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd June 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30008704385 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cable and pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Post Office Road, Maldon Road, Burnham Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Kings Road, Southminster)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kings Road, Southminster in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Burnham Road to its junction with The Wellingtons a distance of approximately 80m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd May 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG6HT6GJ – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole relocation works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Burnham Road, High Street, Kings Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 1st May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(London Road, Maldon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001391167 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Spital Road, Spital Road Roundabout, Wycke Hill, Limebrook Roundabout, Maldon Road, Oak Corner, Chelmsford Road, Maldon Road, London Road, Old London Road and vice versa (with access only into Old London Road, London Road).

The Order came into effect on 1st May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
