What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council,
Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified below:~
Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking At All Times With Exemptions Settle, Chapel Street, North side from junction with Duke Street to 101m in an Easterly direction to the junction with High Street/The Folly. Settle, Chapel Street, South side from junction with Duke Street to 98m in an Easterly direction to the junction with Chapel Square. Settle, The Folly, South West side from junction with Chapel Square to 59m into Victoria Street. Settle, The Folly, East side from junction with High Street to 44m South. Settle, Victoria Street, East side from junction with The Folly to 113m South to the Northern boundary of number 34. Settle, Victoria Street, West side from existing cobbled parking area to 7m North.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Settle Library, Limestone View, Lower Greenfoot, Settle BD24 9RB during normal office hours from 08/05/25 to 29/05/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing, addressed to Area 5 Skipton Highways Office, Snaygill Industrial Estate, Keighley Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 2QR or by email Area5.Skipton@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 29/05/25.
