A1058 Coast Road Eastbound On-Slip From Benfield Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (A1058 COAST ROAD EASTBOUND ON-SLIP FROM BENFIELD ROAD) BENFIELD ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on
(i) A1058 Coast Road eastbound on-slip from C127 Benfield Road/Red Hall Drive junction for its entire length and
(ii) Dimbula Gardens from its junction with A1058 Coast Road Eastbound On-slip from Benfield Road to a point 52 metres North.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 16 June 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 15 September 2025 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
