Military Road, Heddon on the Wall - Temporary Road Closure due to White Lining Works

B6318 MILITARY ROAD HEDDON ON THE WALL

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6318 Military Road Heddon on the Wall from its junction with the U8198 Rudchester Road junction to B6318 Military Road for a distance of 3270 metres to its junction with Hexham Road in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 2nd June 2025 until the 2nd December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 2nd June 2025 until the 6th June 2025 between 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd December 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the B6318, A68, A69, B6528 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for white lining works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
