Setmurthy - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2026 AND U2115 SETMURTHY)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the sections of the:

C2026, Setmurthy from its junction with the U2115, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 660m; and

U2115, Setmurthy from its junction with the C2026, extending in a southerly direction for 120m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C2026, Isel Road, Castlegate Drive, Cockermouth and the C2025.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
