Great Ducie Street - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic For Drainage Connection

Section 14 (As Amended)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC143155216: The City of Manchester (Great Ducie Street, Cheetham Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to make Great Ducie Street One Way from Francis Street to the junction of Trinity Way (permitted direction of travel). 

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Trinity Way, Cheetham Hill Road, Queens Road, Elizabeth Street, St James's Road, St James Road, Great Cheetham Street East, Bury New Road. 

The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to complete a Drainage Connection.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 12th May 2025 to 13th May 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00. 

The Order shall come into operation on 12th May 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter shorter period.
