Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.


Temporary Parking Bay Suspension Order On Stenson Road, Derby

WHEN: 30 May 2025 to 20 June 2025 

WHERE: Stenson Road, bus turning circle, parking bays no 92-198, opposite Sunnyhill Avenue. 

REASON: Telecom works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A


Temporary Bus Lane Suspension Order On Uttoxeter New Road, Derby

WHEN: 08 June 2025 to 06 July 2025 (Sundays only) 

WHERE: Uttoxeter New Road – Bus Lane Suspension, adjacent both sides of Great Northern Road junction. 

REASON: Electric works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A


Temporary Road Closure Order On Phoenix Street, Derby

WHEN: 01 June 2025 to 01 December 2026 

WHERE: Phoenix Street – from its junction with Derwent Street to its junction with Mansfield Road 

REASON: Flood works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: St Alkmund’s Way – Nottingham Road – Derwent Street and the same in the opposite direction


Temporary Road Closure Order On St Mary’s Gate, Derby

WHEN: 22 May 2025 to 23 May 2025 

WHERE: St Mary’s Gate, from outside no. 40 to its junction with Queen Street, a distance of approx. 33 metres 

REASON: Water works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Queen Street – Cathedral Road – Jury Street – St Mary’s Gate (and the same in the opposite direction)
