Pit Lane, Thornton - Temporary Road Closure due to Construction Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
PIT LANE, THORNTON, BRADFORD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works to be executed on or near Pit Lane, Thornton, Bradford has made the above named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Pit Lane from a point outside the Moor Royd Gate Farm to a point outside the New Royd Gate.
PROVIDED that such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Pit Lane (unaffected section), Malt Kiln Lane, Deep Lane, Brighouse and Denholme Road and vice versa.
The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 15th May 2025 and remains in force until 18:00 on the 19th May 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
