ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

U8281 NEWTON TERRACE MICKLEY (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8281 Newton Terrace Mickley from its junction with Chapel Row heading in a northerly direction for a length of 114 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th May 2025 until the 23rd May 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th May 2025 until the 16th May 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 23rd May 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being at Chapel Row, Riding Terrace Newton Terrace Back Lane, Station Bank and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to supply a customer with a new water meter. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
