Oakwood Drive And Areas - Temporary Prohibitions of Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(OAKWOOD DRIVE AND AREAS, RAVENSHEAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS ORDER 2025 (G25-064)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Ravenshead in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at any time) in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.
a. Oakwood Drive, Ravenshead- For its full length.
b. Birchwood Close, Ravenshead - From its junction with Priory Avenue for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction.
c. Silverwood Avenue, Ravenshead - From its junction with Priory Avenue for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction.
d. Priory Avenue, Ravenshead - For its full length.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08;00 hours on Monday 12th May 2025 Until 18:00 hours on Friday 23rd May 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. As signed on site
The Order will come into force on Monday 12th May 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 8 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway resurfacing works.
