TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2025  


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Order came into operation on the 19th May 2025 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 19th May 2025 and 23rd May 2025.

The order was necessary to allow MJ Quinn to Install structures and lay duct in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

The effect of the order was to temporarily close a section of Tredystain, Llanellen, Monmouthshire , ~97m west from its junction with Pant Coedprior for ~195m.  

There is no signed diversion route in place, access will be maintained under short delays.  

This order may be cited as the Tredystain, Llanellen, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025  

By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.

HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 19eg Mai 2025 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelwyd  y bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 19eg Mai 2025 a’r 23ain Mai 2025. 

 Roedd angen y Gorchymyn  er mwyn caniatáu i MJ Quinn osod strwythurau a gosod dwythellau mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.   Cedwir mynediad rhesymol ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.

 Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd cau dros dro ran o Dredystain, Llanellen, Sir Fynwy, ~97m i'r gorllewin o'r gyffordd â Phant Coedprior am ~195m.

 Nid oedd llwybr dargyfeirio wedi'i arwyddo ar waith, bydd mynediad yn cael ei gynnal o dan oedi byr.

Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dro Tredystain, Llanellen, Sir Fynwy 2025.

 Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.
